For already 5 years in our Home, we have been holding the World Jewish Knowledge Day – that is an educational initiative of Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz that connects Jews from different countries of the world. Every year hundreds of organizations and thousands of members in tens of countries take part in this event. 

This year a theme of the day was “People are books: the righteous and the villains, the wise and the fools.” We hold many educational contests and master classes. Each participant could share his knowledge in that event…, where one should recognize a hero after watching short fragments of the cartoons about the biblical heroes, guess characters by the Tanach texts etc. Everybody could make one or several bookmarks. Everything ended by giving prizes and gifts, drinking tea and tasting of the Jewish cuisine, that the hostesses had cooked that day.
