Simchat Torah

"The blessing and forgiveness, which are eager to flickering days and which asked the All-Mighty solemn prayer and repentance seriously, can be reached at Simchat Torah in a joyful mood, dancing with the Torah."

Rabbi Joseph Yitzchak Schneersohn

22 Tishrei in the Jewish calendar, Jews around the world celebrate the holiday of Simchat Torah ("The Joy of the Torah"). Simchat Torah - one of the most joyous Jewish holidays. It completes the cycle of autumn holidays, and the annual cycle of Torah reading. On this day, we read the final part of the Torah and begin again the first of its head, tying the end to the beginning, we want to emphasize to ourselves that in fact the Torah has no end. After all, it is hidden in the infinite wisdom of the Creator, so the previous cycle is only a preparation for the next.

On this day in our house was a special joyful atmosphere - we are happy that we have a Torah that can teach everyone - regardless of age, gender and location.

We remember how we took a holiday home in the community ...

We wish you all a good year and a lot of the joy of the Torah!
