The festival came that is observed in honour of the world creation. It symbolizes the start of the new year and the end of the past year, namely the holiday of Rosh Hashanah.

In the Rosh Hashanah days the God marks in the Book of Life what fortune is assigned to everybody in the new year: "...who is to live and who is to die, who is to await peace, prosperity and who is to expect torments, who is destined to poverty and who is to await wealth". Sincere belief that the God wishes good and prosperity to everyone turns this day into the holiday. At this time, Jews are enjoined to introspect their actions in the previous year and to prepare for the beginning year. Thinking about the future, Jews ask peace, accord, health. The sound of a shofar (the horn of a ram) calls: "Wake up who slumbers, who spends the years meaningless. Observe your souls and make your acts good".

Our community as all Jews in the world celebrated this holiday with the traditional service. Of course, there was a table with the holiday meals on it as every human wants the new year to be good, "sweet". And the next day there was a concert that presented everyone with joy and hope that the next year will be better than the previous one.

The public was enjoying light sadness of Hebrew, wonderful dance rhythms, touching nature and sincerity of poetry, translation and wishes of the presenters, it was moved by the performance of David Goretskyi, was glad to watch a debut of Inna Deineka, was applauding soloists. After the concert, we watched a film about the events in the community of the year "Our year - 5775".

There was a wonderful atmosphere of home comfort, happiness and holiday in the hall, and that again confirmed the axiom that art unites people.

The holiday celebration was ended with the presentation of a new song disc "Hahaim yafim" ("Life is beautiful"). That is what a colourful spectacle was, such an incredible musical journey, warm farewell to the past year and happy meeting with the New year.

"The decision shall be written and sealed that you will have a good year".
