On October 23-26, 2014 in Minsk, more precisely, in the picturesque rest house "Alesia", near Minsk, a conference of the World Union for Progressive Judaism (WUPJ) in the CIS and the Baltic states took place. For the first time, such meeting of WUPJ movement's leaders took place in London in 1926. All rabanim of our movement from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, and the President of WUPJ Rabbi Daniel Freelander, the WUPJ Vice President Rabbi Joel Oseran and leaders of the movement, volunteers, Netzer youth took part in that conference. At the meeting the results of the period were summarized, the questions and the plans for the future community activities were raised, the problems and the ways of their solving in different CIS regions were considered, various master classes were held and, of course, there were happy meetings with old friends and new acquaintances...

After the conference, the delegates of our community visited the Brest Fortress that is an example of heroism, strength and courage.
