On 10 November 2014 a concert took place in the big hall of our community: " Sing je mir a lidele in Yiddish" (Sing me a song in Yiddish) performed by Yefim Chernyi (vocal) and Siussana Gergus (piano) (Kishinev, Moldova), first prize winners at the International Festival of Jewish music named after Solomon Mihoels.

For more than two hours the songs in Russian, Polish, Ukrainian and Yiddish were performed by them. Yefim Chiornyi performed not only as a soloist, he also led the concert programme with the genuine Jewish humor. He told the audience that for 20 years of cooperation with Siussana Gergus they had visited 26 countries of the world with concerts. Before every song Yefim was telling about its authors and he was not just performing the songs but also translating its content. There were also art songs of Jefim and Siussana performed in the concert programme.

The concert was a great success, in spite of a working day and late time there was more than a half of the hall of audience. The public thanked with a long applause and did not let the artists leave; they presented flowers and souvenirs as a memory.

Both the performers and the audience expressed thanks to the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of our community, B.N. Karpa and his wife by whose efforts and funds that incredible concert was held.
