Here come the bright, beautiful, joyful celebration - Hanukkah. At this time, the Jews of Lutsk (from different communities) began it unusual. For the first time in 75 years last Hanukkah candle was lit in the former main (big) city synagogue. Within the walls of this building for many centuries lit Hanukkah candles. Later, in a community center, a festive prayer and lighting of the first candle of the holiday. Not without the traditional Hanukkah treats - fried potato pancakes with butter and our favorite donuts. And the children, of course, received a symbolic "Hanukkah-Gelt."

And in the evening, coming home, many families on the windows began to play the first lights of the holiday.
