On Thursday, May 7, the members and numerous guests of our community came together to remember... To remember the events of the war, to remember the people given us a peace, to thank the living and to pay respects to those who are no longer with us.
Photos on the wall...These are veterans of our community. It seems that only a few years ago we congratulated them at this hall. It is regrettable that today there are only three of our veterans.
All the audience observed one minute of silence in memory of those who had lost their lives in the war and after it.
Children of war! Despite their hair has turned grey - they clearly remember everything. As a common thread running through the concert programme, there were recorded memories of the witnesses of the war that had been kids at that time and had to grow up so fast.
The concert programme started of remembering the pre-war period. Children of the youth and the child club reminded of peaceful life of our city by their dance. Until the war has started..
And, of course, the songs were performed! The vocal group of the club "Iakhad" gifted a wonderful potpourri of wartime songs. The entire public was singing along with pleasure. The lyric and sad, new and well-known songs were performed. And a dance of friendship showed that no matter what age, nationality, religion - ALL PEOPLE WANT PEACE!!! It was touching to see the smallest viewers singing along words of the final song, namely "The Victory Day", with pleasure.
But the main is that we, our children and grandchildren must remember and understand - HOW WELL IT IS WITHOUT WAR!
